“That’s what I’m talking about, baby.”

As I felt Wolf moving back up to the head of the bed, my heart thudded in my chest. Although I didn’t open my eyes, I smiled.

Had I ever felt this satisfied? My muscles had relaxed so completely that it felt like they were going to melt into the bed.

He kissed my neck. “How you feeling?”

“Like melted ice cream.”

“Is that good?”

“Better than.” When I finally opened my eyes, Wolf somehow seemed more handsome than ever before.

“Are you ready for part two or do you need to rest for a little bit?”

I wanted to remind him how he’d pushed me away for weeks, telling me what a bad boyfriend he was. This right here…this proved he was the antithesis. He was an above-and-beyond boyfriend.

But he’d likely meant later…after the glow would eventually wear off. For now, while I felt like I was sitting by a gentle fire, I didn’t think about what the future might bring.

Maybe that wasn’t so sexy, but I loved that he felt comfortable enough that he didn’t have to lock the door.
